Today is
Leap Day traditionally a time where women get to propose to their significant
other and they can’t say no. This got me thinking about other love traditions
and wooden love spoons and then of course to altered spoons. I have a
little passion for altering spoons, charity shops are not safe as I trawl
through their spoons looking for nice shapes and patterns. I think I like them because they allow you to
make a small decorative object which can be hung on a wall and to which you can
if you want add a great deal of personalisation, if say using a photo or an
image that has special meaning for someone. Anyway this spoon is my make over on the That's Crafty blog today, pop over for full details of how it was made.

Alice Themed Storage Box
That’s Crafty have launched a fantastic range of MDF stacking storage
units today and I have been lucky enough to
decorate the box designed to store Alcohol Inks / Stickles and other bottles of
that size. The range includes storage units
for Sprays, various types of Paints, Brushos Embossing Powders, Distress Stains etc with even more in the pipeline. At #12.99 each they are a bargain. You will be seeing samples of all different
units during the week which have been decorated by the DT. I must say we all got very excited making
them and sharing our pics with each other as we went along. Partly because it is fun to decorate an
interesting shape but mainly because they are such lovely quality and we know
people will find them invaluable for keeping stash under control. You can see the full range here and details of how I made this on the That's Crafty Blog.
