The That's Crafty! DT have all been playing with the new That’s Crafty
white/greyboard journals which come as a pack of one A4 and one 3 x 5 inches. Being board they can take a lot of punishment
without warping so using paints, texture
and stencils is a joy. The full details for my make are on the That's Crafty! blog

It has been so grey and miserable this week I wanted to
cheer myself up and what could be better than flowers ( apart from maybe wine
and chocolate!)This is my make this week over on the That's Crafty! blog pop over for full details.

Spring Flower
Having been promised a mini heat wave this weekend we had had grey skies, miserable cold and rain so I thought a little cheeriness was needed hence my bright spring flower, it is my make this week on the That's Crafty DT blog. I’ve used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals, DecoArt Modelling Paste and a Donna Downey Big Peony Blossom stencil to make a card. For all the details visit the That's Crafty blog.

Passion Changes Everything
This is my make today over at the That's Crafty DT Blog.
There were a few things in my head when I began this
make. Firstly I wanted to work on a
square so I used the 6 x 6 MDF panel instead of my journal. Secondly I wanted some serious drippage and
finally I was seeing lots of signs of spring, flowers, green leaves, birds
coming home after their winter break and I was thinking how the birds would
soon be nesting and how bees would be pollinating flowers which creates
the seeds which next year become more
flowers and how throughout the year there is constant change, growth and
rebirth.
I have used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics so for more details on how I made it do pop over to the That's Crafty DT Blog

Live
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas, that Santa was
generous with the crafty goodies and you
ate and drink lots of lovely things, oh and survived the Boxing Day sales. Now with 2016 looming and the
thought of resolutions in my head I was drawn to this text stencil, in reality every
day is filled with intentions – to clean the house, do some ironing, lose
weight, do exercise etc but rarely do those intentions survive. As a person with a chronic health condition,
pain and low energy those things just don’t sound fun enough, hence the choice
of cheeky looking birdy who is whistling into space having been caught not
doing what they should!. This is my make today for the That's Crafty DT Blog.
I started by randomly spritzing Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays all over my journal
page. I was not too worried about mixing
colours as Lindy’s are made with a different type of dye to most sprays so it
is pretty difficult to make a mud colour.
I also spritzed water to get the colours to move and run. I love the sheen they give. I had not put gesso on the page as I wanted
to see how they would work, this did of course mean the paper got very wet but
it survived.
Next I stamped randomly to create some background interest.
Next came Rub Ons then black texture paste through the stencil.
Finally the Katzelkraft bird was stamped onto spare card,
coloured with Pitt Artist Pens, cut by
hand and stuck it on.
Some doodling and random splashes of white paint and all done.
