Spring Flowers
As the temperatures still fail to get much above freezing and more snow is apparently on its way I wanted something bright and cheerful to lift the feeling of gloom. This is a 6 x 12 inch box canvas, first layer was text paper, then various shades or golden paints followed by texture past through the Donna Downey Bloom Group stencil, some more paint, a bit of alcohol ink pen and a light stamping of the droplets stamp by Ryn to add some texture. As this was the first time I used the stencil I am entering this into the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge No 8 New to You, and, as it has a handmade flower the Artist Trading Post Exchange Challenge Flower Power.
