Maytime
This is a 12 x 12 canvas using acrylic paints, Faber-Castell Pitt Brush Pens, Water Oil Pastels, and an alphabet / number stencil. This was originally a canvas I made some years ago that was not very good so it was time for a start over, on went gesso and texture paste and paints and yet again I was not happy. Another round of gesso and I started to get somewhere I liked with the flowers but wasn't sure about the middle part, I tried a face but all the texture made the poor girl look like she had a bad case of acne, so eventually and remembering the old adage " if in doubt put a bird on it" here we are with something I am (for now anyway) happy with. I am entering it into the following challenges:
