This is my entry for the Colourarte Challenge "Field of
Flowers" My blooms are from the Donna Downey Signature
Series Stencil - Bloom Group - DD-035, I used a mix of texture paste
and Primary Elements to create the flowers, mixing each Primary Element
colour - Royal Orchid, Passion Fruit and Ginger Flower - with separate
texture paste and spreading in different parts of the stencil to get shade and
light, then giving another coat of colour with the Primary Elements and water
when the texture was dry. The leaves are from the Paper Artsy PS005
Stencil using a mix of Golden Jade and Douglas
Fir Primary Elements again mixed with Texture Paste. For the background I
sprinkled various green Primary Elements - Kiwi, Teal Zircon, Moss Agate and Moss Green and
spritzed with water and heat set. When heat set I used a coat of Guatemalan Green
Silk to pull the greens together.
Fabulous! Love all the texture and terrific light and shade . Good luck with the challenge x
